Metal Resistor used for Guitar Treble Bleed
- When discussing a metal resistor for a guitar's treble bleed circuit, you are most likely referring to a Metal Film
Resistor. The capacitor is what allows the high frequencies to "bleed" through and bypass the volume pot's
resistance as it's turned down. The resistor is added to control how much treble is retained and to prevent the
tone from becoming overly bright, harsh, or "ice-picky" at lower volumes. It also helps to maintain a more
consistent volume taper across the pot's sweep.
