Note: If you are not sure if your guitar uses a short (3/8") or long (3/4") shaft, please check before ordering. As a general rule, this pot will fit most guitars made in the U.S. and Mexico, but it is always safer to check the bushing diameter and pot height.

For Gibson guitars, the rule of thumb is: Thick Carved Maple Top (most USA LP Standards/Classics) = Long Shaft Pots. Thin/Flat Top (SGs, Les Paul Juniors/Specials and most Epiphones) = Short Shaft Pots

If your guitar is an import... and you want to update the pots, you may have to enlarge the diameter of the holes on the body very slightly. 

When installing the knobs, be sure to pinch the end of the shaft before installing them, this will prevent you from jamming them or knocking the shaft off the pots. If this hasn't happened to you before...
