Reliable, smooth, and durable, Linear Taper (B) is most commonly used for Tone controls because it provides a very even, predictable roll-off of high frequencies. While some players use them for volume, most prefer Audio Taper (A) for volume to match how the human ear perceives loudness.

Each pot includes a flat washer, a lock washer, and mounting nuts.

They are standard on guitars such as the Fender Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass, Jazz Bass, Jaguar, Jazzmaster, and other models manufactured in the USA and Mexico. They are also found on other guitar models and brands where the controls are mounted directly on a pickguard, a control plate, or a thin guitar top.

Note: When installing the knobs, be sure to lightly pinch the ends of the split shaft before pressing them on. This prevents the knob from jamming or damaging the internal mechanism of the pot. If this hasn't happened to you before, you are one of the lucky ones!!!

If your guitar is an import... and you want to update the pots, you may have to enlarge the diameter of the holes on the body very slightly.
