CTS 500K DPDT Audio Taper - Long Split Shaft - 450S push-pull series Pro pots for Guitar & Bass
Premium Components manufactured by CTS Corporation
CTS potentiometers are specially designed to deliver optimal performance in guitar volume and tone circuits They are recognized as the first choice of manufacturers and guitarists in the United States.
Reliable, smooth, and durable, these CTS 500K DPDT Audio Taper short split shaft potentiometers are primarily used as volume or tone controls.
A push-pull pot is two components in one: a standard volume/tone knob and a hidden toggle switch. This allows you to add features to your guitar without drilling new holes in the wood. CTS DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) switches represent the modern standard for adding high-level functionality to a guitar without altering its look. Unlike standard potentiometers, these feature a built-in switch that acts as a completely independent circuit. (For more details, read the text below.)

CTS 500K DPDT Audio Taper Long Split Shaft (3/4") potentiometers are required for mounting through thick wood, such as carved maple tops found on many Gibson-style guitars. Suitable for major guitar brands and custom shop builders equipped with humbucker pickups.
Note: If you are unsure whether your guitar requires a long (3/4") or short (3/8") shaft, please check before placing your order to make sure you choose the correct pots.
Note: When installing the knobs, be sure to lightly pinch the ends of the split shaft before pressing them on. This prevents the knob from jamming or damaging the internal mechanism of the pot.
"If your guitar is an import and you wish to upgrade the potentiometers, you may need to slightly enlarge the mounting holes in the body or pickguard."

Potentiometers with brass shafts & brass bushings are the highest-grade pots available from CTS.
DPDT, CTS allow you to add a switch to your guitar without adding a hole. On these high-quality CTS push-pull pots, the switch contacts are on the side, not the back. This means they are shorter, allowing them to fit most guitars without drilling holes - a 1-inch-deep cavity is all that is needed.
